Hotel room with bed, chair, table, and colorful mural by Adam Suerte depicting the Brooklyn Bridge and skyline

Born and bred in South Brooklyn, the streets served as Adam’s canvas long before he was putting the streets on canvas. Drawing inspiration from his own graffiti career and his deep Brooklyn roots, his paintings often depict the area he grew up in as the wave of gentrification covers the finer details of the neighborhood he remembers and loves. Suerte is the founder of Urban Folk Art© Studios (an artist collective and gallery) and co-founder and co-owner of Brooklyn Tattoo®. He continues to make art on many levels in many mediums, from painting to illustrating, to making comics, to print making. Visit www.adamsuerte.com/about to learn about this artist.

Please note, this specific mural room cannot be guaranteed at booking.

NU Hotel, Brooklyn

NU Hotel is located in downtown Brooklyn in walking distance to four great Brooklyn neighborhoods, including Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Park Slope, and Prospect Heights. Wander south past the pristine 19th century brownstones and artist warehouses to explore local bars, restaurants, and shops. Walk or bike toward Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s version of Central Park, to discover the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, or go a bit further to find everything from Hasidic wig makers to Caribbean music shops. Circle back around toward downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO for a bit of high-end retail shopping and dining, and perhaps catch a concert or game at the Barclays Center afterward. Last but not least, don’t forget a visit to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, with its spectacular views of Manhattan crowning it all.
