If you’ll be in Brooklyn this June, you won’t want to miss Pour The Core, a hard cider tasting festival. In addition to serving up samples of some 75 styles concocted by more than 40 cider makers from around the world, the event holds educational seminars on how the drink is made and best enjoyed. Should the hard apple cider you down rev up your appetite, you can enjoy tasty eats from participating local food trucks. No one under the age of 21 can attend the event, but funds raised will benefit KiDS NEED MoRE, a camping adventure program that serves children with cancer and their siblings. Basically, you’ll be drinking hard apple cider for a great cause.
