New York City is home to two contenders for world’s largest menorah. Both stand 32 feet tall, weigh over 4,000 pounds, and illuminate a space called Grand Army Plaza during Chanukah. The menorah in Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza is scheduled to be lit on Tuesday, December 12 at 5:30pm. A live band, hot latkes, and gifts for children will add pomp to the occasion.
If you’ll be in town for the start of chanukah and would like to attend the menorah lighting ceremony at Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza, book here to stay with NU Hotel. For more information about the lighting ceremony and subsequent menorah lightings this Chanukah, visit the event website.
