This May, more than 30,000 cyclists will take to the streets of New York City for the annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour. The 40-mile long course touches every borough of New York City, and will guide riders through blocked off streets for a car-free ride that’s otherwise impossible for urban cyclists. Of course, bikers aren’t just there for the thrill of the ride. The Five Boro Bike Tour is also the world’s largest charitable bike ride.
From alzheimers to domestic violence, the Five Boro Bike Tour always boasts an impressive, and varied, list of beneficiaries. This year’s charity partners include Athletes to End Alzheimer’s, Team ASPCA, A Kids’ Brain Tumor Cure PLGA Foundation and the Center Against Domestic Violence. Bike enthusiasts will love the unique cycling experience, while contributing to a broad and meaningful effort to make the world a better place.
Not into cycling? Pedestrians will love watching the event from the streets of New York City. While the Nu Hotel invites riders to come stay with us before the big ride, we also encourage our guests to take to the streets and cheer on the thousands of cyclists rolling through the streets.
Take part in the big ride, or join the spectacle. The city of New York truly outdoes itself by making room on the streets for the Five Boro Bike Tour.
