Join us on Tuesday, February 19 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for an engaging discussion with three art collectors and artist Tom Bennett on the occasion of his solo exhibition, Tom Bennett: Monotypes and Paintings at the NU Hotel Brooklyn. Welancora Gallery in collaboration with Tabla Rasa Gallery is pleased to present a collector’s forum with Brian Peterson, Jeffrey Johnson and Frazier Holloway. They will share thoughts about their approach to collecting and further insight for anyone considering their first acquisition, as well as the seasoned collector. The public will be invited to ask questions as part of this lively and informative program.
About Tom Bennett:
Bennett was born and raised in Ridgefield, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at the University of Connecticut in 1982 where he worked under the noted painter and photographer, Bill Parker. His work is heavily influenced by Francis Bacon, Frank Auberbauch and foremost his father, Harry Bennett, who was also an artist.
Tom’s work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions worldwide. In 1983, Bennett had his first solo show at the Ridgefield Guild of Artist Gallery. Tom lives and maintains a studio in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently represented by Tabla Rasa Gallery.
