How about attending a nice beer festival with a wide variety of craft brews and delicious food vendors? Sounds like a pretty good time. But, if we don’t get out for this one, it’s no worries, because there are plenty of beer and food festivals in New York City. This much is true. However, how many of those festivals work directly with the Humane Society of New York City to improve the treatment of orphan dogs and cats? Just one. Beer for Beasts is an event in Brooklyn, New York that is worth going to for some nice flavors, a generally fun atmosphere and the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause.
Sixpoint Brewery and Beer Advocate host the event, which features exclusive beers, food vendors and some entertainment geared towards raising compassion for animals. These two companies started Beer for Beasts four years ago with the attention of utilizing their resources. With all the potential to hold a delicious and respectable beer festival, they decided to take it a step further by helping animals in the process.
Another exclusive allure of this festival is the effort put forth by Beer Advocate and Sixpoint shown by brewing special, one-time only beers for attendees. Beer for Beasts participants will truly have a one of a kind experience trying these crafts that haven’t been released to anybody else.
Considering everything this wonderful event has to offer, it seems obvious that reasons to attend far outweigh reasons to pass.
