Brooklyn hosts dozens of colorful ethnic and cultural festivals every summer. 2015 saw the addition of Waku Waku + NYC, a Japanese Pop Culture Festival open only to adults. The two-day festival celebrates anime, fashion, film, Japanese cuisine, J-pop, and manga. The inaugural Waku Waku + NYC Festival was a success, and the second annual festival is highly anticipated by planners and attendees alike. You’ll definitely want to consider attending if you’re fascinated by Japanese culture and will be in Brooklyn at the end of August.
