Neon Dash in Brooklyn

Glow in the Dark Run: Neon Dash in Brooklyn

Can you imagine thousands of people covered in neon paint running through the streets of Brooklyn? Well, this bizarre spectacle will be a reality very soon. Neon Dash’s Live Bright Tour is making a stop in Brooklyn early this August.

Using a classic 5K run format, Neon Dash sends participants through a night time course where the adventure is far more important than the destination. Participants are encouraged to make their way through the course in a relaxed and fun manner. Whether that means walking, dancing or running, the point is to have a good time. To add to the unusual nature of the event, everybody who comes out will get covered in neon paint throughout the event.

The nature of the paint allows for individuals to glow as they travel side-by-side with other outrageously decorated attendees. It’s an absolutely unique way to give everybody a peculiar uniform and to create an exciting and strange presentation to the event as a whole.

In addition to the paint and the race itself, all of the participants also get a runner’s bib, a special t-shirt, neon dash headband and entry to the After Dash Bash. This bash will take place following the race, providing performers with music, food and a wealth of cool activities.

Neon Dash will be taking place in Brooklyn at the Aviator Sports and Events Center on August 2nd.  This New York edition of the race will be a whole lot of fun, but also provide some great humanitarian benefits. The charity beneficiary will be New York City Friends of Firefighters. Some of the city and country’s favorite public servicemen and women will be honored by this organization whose mission aims to support New York City’s firefighters health, wellness and familial needs.

So, if you find yourself in Brooklyn early this August, check out the Neon Dash Live Bright Tour. You will have a blast and give back to those who deserve it most.
