Halloween in Brooklyn is great fun for the entire family and there isn’t a shortage of family-friendly events. Bring the entire family to ‘Ghouls and Gourds’ at the Brooklyn Botanic garden. This annual rain or shine event will take place from 12:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 25. The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are transformed into a three ring Halloween circus with arts and crafts, musical performances and treats at every turn. It’s a fantastic way to hang out with the family and experience Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.
The Park Slope Halloween parade takes place on Friday October 31 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “To Boo or not to Boo.” Come dressed as a Shakespearean or fictional character.” The parade starts at 14th street and Seventh Avenue in Park Slope and ends at the Old Stone House (335 3rd Street, Brooklyn).
The Brooklyn Children’s Museum (145 Brooklyn Avenue) is celebrating Halloween with a gigantic Monster Mash on October 24 and 25. The event kicks off at 4:00 p.m. with tons of treats, storytelling and crafts for the little ones.
BAM is hosting a “BAMboo! Halloween” event. This Halloween extravaganza is an annual event and is a fun way to experience BAM. Enjoy live music, a puppet show, treats and live entertainers —it’s perfect for the entire family!
For the night owls, you’ll definitely want to check out the BOO! Halloween Massive on Friday October 31 at the Barclay’s Center (620 Atlantic Avenue). Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for some serious EDM beats with artists like Knife Party, DJ Snake, Milo & Otis and Craze all part of the line-up.
