Elton John at the Barclays

December 31, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - January 1, 2015 @ 1:00 am

The man, the myth, the legend — Sir. Elton John plays at the Barclays Center (620 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn) on New Year’s Eve and it will be without a doubt THE place to be as you ring in 2015. At the concert you can expect to hear this multi-Grammy winner’s top hits and classic tracks from his nearly five decade long career. This year, goodbye Yellow Brick Road celebrates its 40th year, so expect to hear your favorites from that album played.

Songs include I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues’, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, ‘Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)’, I’m Still Standing, Tiny Dancer’ and Rocket Man.

Looking to go to the Elton John concert in style? Head to one of these famous NYC costumes shops for a costume that would make Sir. Elton John proud. Go to Film Biz Recycling (540 President Street, Brooklyn) for everything from cocktail dresses to vintage clothing; there is something for everyone at this costume mecca. Ricky’s will have the glitter and fun accessories you need to really amp up your Elton John costume; the park slope location is at 478 Bergen Street off of Flatbush Avenue. You can’t forget about the Salvation Army Thrift Stores; there are seven of them in Brooklyn so there you’ll be guaranteed to find a vintage ensemble. Still looking for the perfect outfit? Havin’ a Party (8414 5th Ave.) serves up fantastic costumes as well.

What about a place to stay? NU Hotel is located walking distance to the Barclay so you can’t beat that!
