The spring season is one of the best times of year to be in New York City—in addition to the return of warm weather, it’s also a season rich with fun arts events. Among such gatherings, the Frieze Art Fair will return once again this year as one of the city’s most popular, boundary-pushing fairs. At the same time, we’ll be hosting Fridge Art Fair, an annual counterpart to Frieze, right here at Nu Hotel.
Here are the main things you need to know about each beloved New York City art fair:
The Frieze Art Fair
The Frieze Art Fair is one of the major events of New York’s arts calendar. It returns every spring to share a collection of galleries, presentations, talks, installations and more creative pop-up spectacles. The work featured at Frieze regularly comes from more than 1,000 leading international galleries.
Some of the most anticipated presenters of the 2018 Frieze Art Fair include the distinguished 303 Gallery from here in NYC, Oslo’s VI, VII gallery, and Tokyo’s Gallery 38.
Where & When
This year’s Frieze New York will once again take place on Randall’s Island for four fun-filled days—May 3rd-6th. Book here to stay with Nu Hotel this spring, and find out more about Frieze New York on the event website here.
The Fridge Art Fair
With so many creatives running around town this May, there’s no reason for all the fun to stay in Manhattan. The Fridge Art Fair will return right here to Nu Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn for its 6th NYC edition over the same weekend as the Frieze Art Fair. This highly-anticipated event will feature a David Bowie Tribute that coincides with the hit exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum right now, among a number of quirky arts and food presentations.
Where & When
Once again, this year’s Fridge Art Fair will again take place here at Nu Hotel, and it will run from May 2nd-6th. Book here to stay with Nu Hotel this spring, and for more information on The Fridge Art Fair, check out the event website here.
