The lobby bar and lounge at Nu Hotel is one of Downtown Brooklyn’s best kept secrets. A relaxed vibe features handcrafted cocktails, snack-size dishes, and some outdoor seating. The bar features the neighborhood’s best products like Brooklyn Brine pickles, and Sixpoint Brewery Beer.

This is one of the most fun Brooklyn speakeasies you can find, and its hidden entrance is complemented by stellar cocktails. Located next to Williamsburg’s Sweet Science, Featherweight’s entrance is marked only be a mural of a boxer. The inside feels like a hidden New York City wonder.

The Red Hook Ballfields

Find some of the best Latin American food in New York City at a group of soccer fields located in Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood. This often overlooked gem is one of the most coveted food truck havens in the city, and one of its most organic pop-up traditions. Be sure to grab some cheesy goodness from Solber Pupusas.

Hidden on the border between north and south Williamsburg, Larry Laurence is an open room that feels like a secret in one of the borough’s most popular neighborhoods. It’s dark-wood and redbrick will make you feel cozy, and the cocktails will knock your socks off.

Bring your little Wonder Woman, or Black Panther, or Thor to this fun shop located in Park Slope. The shop is a learning center, as well as a proprietor of novelty crime fighting toys, gadgets, and souvenirs. Grab some sleuth materials here, and then head over to nearby Prospect Park for a fun scavenger hunt.
