From hand hammered stack rings to eco-concious duds, the Brooklyn Flea is the place to score unique finds and its sister market Brookyln Smorgasburg is a foodies paradise. Here’s our handy guide of tips to navigate the markets.

  1.  Go Hungry.
The food vendors are absolutely amazing. Mario Batali said Smorgasburg is the “single greatest thing I’v ever seen gastronmically in New York City.” From donuts and chedbred (cheesy cornbread) to beet juice and tempeh there is something for everybody.
  2. Don’t commit too soon.
With over 100 vendors at each location browsing can get a bit overwhelming. We recommend going earlier and browsing before you commit to purchasing your goods (and hey a bit of friendly bargaining never hurt anyone)
  3. Cash is king.
Be sure to bring cash.  A few vendors do take credit/debit but its better to err on the side of caution and bring cash.
  4. People watching.
Celebrities have been known to hit the flea on occasion.  Previous Brooklyn Flea attendees include Martha Stewart and Jessica Biel.
