The Brooklyn Academy of Music is the most dynamic and prolific arts institution in all of Brooklyn and quite possibly all of New York City. With an extensive calendar populated by performances, screenings, galas and more, there always seems to be a plethora of things to see and do at BAM.

With some particularly exciting spectacles cued up at BAM in the coming months, we put together a short list of five things to see, do, hear and experience at BAM this spring.

The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T

BAMcinematek, the institution’s explorative film cinema program, is bringing an artifact of children’s film to Brooklyn this spring with the 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. The film is a production of Dr. Seuss’ sole screenplay, following a boy’s fantasy of his piano teacher forcing hundreds of boys to play on the same, gigantic piano.
